We became passionate about this cause when one of us was subject to inappropriate conduct and a personal violation at the hands of a doctor, and only after the incident, with considerable inquiry were we able to determine that it was a pattern of conduct for this particular physician. Had we known (but how could we?) we would not have subjected ourselves to this. Of course, many of us have had bad experiences with businesses that did not deliver what they promised after they already had our money.
Also, when we first came here we had no idea which dentist, doctor, attorneys, plumbers, electricians, etc were honest and reliable and which may have complaints against them, either legal actions, or simple dissatisfaction due to the quality or cost of services. Personal referrals could only be made by people we did not know, and no single individual could possibly know that someone else had a bad experience or what that experience may have been. Please consider this a kind of "Community Bulletin Board". This page is for community members to make comments about, or learn about customer experiences with local businesses. It is, in part, meant to alert unwary consumers of potential problems, with local or regional businesses. Please make your submission to watertest@windstream.net and if we begin to see a pattern emerge we will publish that observation on this page within reason and law, as time permits. Please provide facts that can be confirmed , an email or mailing address and a contact number, so we can confirm that you (not someone else) made the submission and submit the posting fee of $25.00 to have your comments posted, or added to existing comments (Ex.12 complaints now are 13 complaints). We will be happy to post comments about excellent quality, service, and fees as well. Local business got your goat or your gratitude?

New visitors, please consider this as nothing more than a bulletin board where individuals may post their opinions and can let you know how to reach them so you can get more information and determine the veracity of the submitter yourself. We simply list companies, doctors and attorneys and others on our page with comments (opinions) from satisfied and dissatisfied customers and legal actions being taken against any of them where it is appropriate. History of legal actions or other verifiable complaints may also be posted. Our sole purpose is to be a vehicle through which individuals can post their opinions about services, prices, companies that have cheated them, and unscrupulous businesses and individuals, in a place that newcomers to the community can access, so they will not also become victims of such businesses.
Individuals posting information must be willing to communicate with parties who are viewing the page and must therefore provide a verifiable telephone number or email address or mailing address where letters and inquiries can be sent if they want their opinion posted.
Companies against which allegations are made are invited to respond to the allegations with written explanations, but must also provide contact information so information can be verified.
Information must be verifiable. WE will contact submitters and request appropriate documentation as proof, including signed letters, evidence that allegations are true, etc., but we cannot accept any responsibility for the the verity of the information that is posted, and ask anyone submitting information to be willing to accept legal responsibility for their comments as a condition of posting. We are requesting responsible submissions, which can be supported by appropriate documentation or which were witnessed by others. Comments that are submitted may not necessarily be posted, especially if they are redundant, but the frequency of such compliments or complaints will be recorded with the company name and made available in some fashion on the web site or through availability of telephone contacts.
A minimal $25.00 fee will be required to cover the cost of processing your request, and if deemed reasonable, following up on the information received and if it passes our screening posting the information on the web site. No refund is possible, so please comply in your comments to all existing federal, state and local laws regarding the use of the web. If you would like a background check on any of the vendors or individuals you identify in your comments etc, we will assess a fee appropriate to the level of investigation you require. If you already have such information and wish to make it public knowledge, feel free to submit the evidence to the web site. WE reserve the right to edit any comments to fit format and content of the web site.
Consumer Compliments and Complaints
We are inviting comments on the following types of businesses, because this is what we needed when we first moved into a new area, and had no idea where to start, but other submissions will be accepted.
Local here will be defined as any company or individual operating in White, Lumpkin, Hall, Union, Habersham, Jackson, Forsythe, and adjacent counties and cities therein. We recognize that ALL businesses will get some complaints and some compliments. Occasionally someone is dissatisfied without good cause. We are therefore looking for similar patterns of business conduct that the community should be aware of and cannot be, because we do not all know each other.
In addition, we are interested in hearing of water quality problems you may be having, or water test results the community should be aware of. For example, if you have become ill with diarrhea and think that water contamination may have been the problem, please let the rest of the community know. Because there currently is NO system in place to report these incidents to others who may get sick from the same source.
